New Bajaj Pulsar 180
India's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has recently launched the newBajaj Pulsar 180, the upgraded version of its most popular bike Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi. The new Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi equipped with a throttle actuated ignition-control system that works in conjunction with a chip-controlled digital capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system to offer accurate ignition timing under all conditions.
Bajaj Auto has launched the upgraded version of the of the Pulsar 180 in response to the TVS Apache RTR 180. Bajaj Auto claimed that the new Bajaj Pulsar offers a little increase in power. The new model of Bajaj Pulsar 180 produces maximum power of 17 Bhp at 8500 rpm with a 14.5 Nm of maximum torque at 6500 rpm.
The new Bajaj Pulsar 180 borrows swingarm from the Bajaj Avenger, and due to that its kerb weight has gone up to 147kgs from an earlier 143kgs. Its wheelbase has also increased by 25mm to 1345mm. The new Bajaj Pulsar 180 has let go of the kick-start option and the rider will have to rely on battery power for ignition.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 180 looks similar to the Pulsar 200 but a trained eye can quickly spot the difference between them. Bajaj Auto have mixed and matched lots of components from its product portfolio to make the Bajaj Pulsar 180 appearance more muscular. It is expected that the new bike will be priced for around Rs. 3,000 more than the previous Bajaj Pulsar 180 model.
